We have won back the White House, but we’ve got our work cut out for us. While more American voted for the Biden/Kamala ticket than any other president in history (the 3rd largest vote share ever), 74.5 million people (white people mostly) voted for Trump. We can’t just vote out white supremacy. We have to dismantle it.
And calls to come together and unite are not going to get us there. We cannot nice-nice white supremacy and we cannot negotiate with hate. Rather, we must align so fiercely with love and freedom that our stance is undeniable.
Yvette Simpson put it best when she said:
“Unity is great, but freedom is better. And there is the part of this population that has sacrificed their freedom time and time again….I want the kind of unity that leads to change for the people who have waited for it. And if this pandemic hasn’t showed us that we need to serve people first; and that that needs to be a unifying message. The Republicans need to be on board with actually taking care of people. If we can unify around that, I’m all on board.”
It is up to us to steer the future that we deserve. Let us not compromise on love. Let us live it fully.

Republicans are working to convince voters that any election that does not produce a Republican win, is inherently fraudulent and need not be acknowledged or respected. It’s nothing short of an attack on democracy itself. [[link removed]] [click to tweet] [[link removed]]

Black women organizers won Georgia for Biden. [[link removed]] If properly supported, they’ll win the Senate as well. Here’s what you need to know:
Key dates:
Voter registration deadline: 12/7
Early voting: 12/14-12/18, 12/21-12/23, 12/26, 12/28-12/31
Request early ballot by 12/15th
Election Day: 1/5
Why a runoff?
Neither of Georgia’s Republican Senators drew a majority on Election day, sending both of their races to special rematches in January that will likely determine control of the Senate.
What can I do?

We just lost a hero in our community. Catharine Ashton was a fierce and loving activist who devoted her life to healing from trauma and fighting for justice. To know her was to be inspired by her. But grieving her loss is bound up with the heartbreak of so much and so many over the last 9 months. And with the holidays fast approaching and COVID breaking out all around the country, the next couple weeks are likely to be challenging. How do we prepare ourselves for the uncertainty and discomfort ahead? How do we grieve? Here’s one of our favorite articles on grief and discomfort [[link removed]] and how to take care of ourselves along the way.
