BREAKING from CNN: Nearly 50,000 UAW workers go on strike against GM, America's biggest automaker

Friends: In the largest strike in over a decade, tens of thousands of hourly auto workers have walked out after talks with General Motors broke down over the weekend.

Democratic AGs have consistently stood in solidarity with unions and American workers and we’re calling on every single one of our grassroots supporters to join them – and that includes you!

Action Alert: Add your name to stand in solidarity with UAW workers in their fight for fair wages and benefits.

The workers are seeking higher hourly wages, better health care benefits, and a commitment by GM, which made billions in profit last year, to limit the use of temporary workers and give them a path to permanent employment. During the recession, GM workers made sacrifices to help save the company. Now that GM is again making billions in profits, they have an obligation to take care of their workers

With the right to organize under unprecedented threat, it’s never been more important to stand with workers and unions.
