Justice will prevail Dear Supporter, American Muslims for Palestine stand for the human rights of all people in our interconnected world and are proud to feature two panels exploring the evil of racism in the United States and exposing the tragic results of colonialism and celebrating resistance against both. On Saturday, November 28th, at 6:00 PM Eastern, we will be joined by Kashmiri professor and activist, Dr. Hafsa Kanjwal; Asia scholar, Dr. Angana Chatterji; Uighur activist, Aydin Anwar; and Rohingya activist, Dr. Wakar Uddin to expose the root causes of colonialism and celebrate the resistance against it.
On Sunday, November 29th, at 6:00 PM Eastern, we will be joined by author and activist, Aisha Al-Adawiyya; labor organizer & intellectual, Bill Fletcher, Jr.; Palestinian organizer, Sandra Tamari; AMP Chairman, Dr. Hatem Bazian; and public policy strategist, Felicia Eaves will connect the dots of the pervasive racism in the U.S. impacting the people from Ferguson to Palestine and will celebrate the historical alliance between the Black and Palestinian liberation movement.

Meet Our Speakers Dr. Hafsa Kanjwal
Hafsa Kanjwal is an Assistant Professor of South Asian History at Lafayette College. She is a member of Critical Kashmir Studies.
Dr. Angana Chatterji
Dr. Chatterji co-founded the International People’s Tribunal on Human Rights and Justice in Indian-administered Kashmir.
Aydin Anwar
Aydin Anwar is an Uyghur-American activist currently assisting Sound Vision's Save Uighur campaign based in Chicago focused on raising awareness on the plight of East Turkestan.
Dr. Wakar Uddin
Dr. Wakar Uddin is Rohingya Muslim, a professor at Penn State University, and Director General of Arakan Rohingya Union.
Shakeel Syed
Shakeel Syed is the Regional Director of American Muslims for Palestine and coordinates the West Coast operations. He is a lifelong human rights advocate and has traveled to occupied Palestine several times until he's banned (2017) by the Israeli government for his activism to end Israeli occupation of Palestine.
Aisha Al-Adawiyya
Aisha H.L. al-Adawiya is the founder and President of Women in Islam, Inc., an organization of Muslim women which focuses on human rights and social justice. Ms. al-Adawiya also represents Muslim women’s Non-Governmental Organizations at United Nations forums.
Bill Fletcher, Jr.
Bill Fletcher is the former president of TransAfrica Forum; a Senior Scholar with the Institute for Policy Studies; and an editorial board member of BlackCommentator.com.
