BIG update, John:

First off, thanks to grassroots supporters like you, we've already MET our $125,000 recount fund goal! Trust me, that's a big weight off our shoulders here at HQ.

But now there's a new number to reach, given how long this count is dragging out. After conferring with Christy, our finance team, and the lawyers, we had to increase our goal to $225,000.

John, can you help get a head start on this new target by chipping in $5 or more right now?

Now let me tell you just why we need this money right now. Here in CA-25, there are still ballots coming in until Friday. That means there are votes to count we don't even know about yet.

Then there's another week for voters to "cure" their ballots by making sure their signatures are good to go. We've already helped over 200 voters do just that -- but there are thousands left to cure. We have to reach those voters before the deadline in order to close this small gap with Garcia.

And after that deadline, the count continues through the end of the month. That's when we'll figure out whether or not we're headed to a recount.

Until that recount happens, we're racking up lawyers' bills as we fight to make sure every voter's voice is heard in this race. This is a non-negotiable expense in a race as tight as ours. But it takes a lot of resources.

That's where you come in, John. I need you to pitch in to meet our increased recount fund goal by next week. If we don't raise $225,000, we simply won't have what it takes to keep up this fight.

Thanks for all your support,
