We need all hands on deck, John.
We can’t emphasize enough how important it is we win both of the Georgia Senate runoffs on January 5th.
Here’s the situation: If we elect Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock on January 15th, we’ll get the last two seats we need to win a Democratic Majority in the Senate. Polling currently shows Ossoff and Warnock in a toss-up with their Republican opponents. We can win this, but it's gonna take everything we have.
But here’s the biggest challenge organizers are facing right now: Money. The GOP is throwing millions into this runoff to defend their majority in the Senate. It’s going to take a record-breaking, grassroots-funded movement to overcome their super PAC money.
There’s no Plan B, John.
The results of this runoff will ultimately determine the balance of power in Washington and Congress’ ability to pass critical legislation like COVID-19 relief.
That’s why it’s so critical we support organizations like New Georgia Project as they fight to register all eligible, unregistered citizens of color in Georgia by the end of the year. As of September 2019, NGP has registered almost half a million Georgians, in all 159 Georgia's counties.
Women’s March is also prepping our own organizing plan to make sure we drive record turnout in this runoff and reach as many voters as we can with weekly text banks and COVID-safe door-to-door canvassing.
But if we want to go all out for Georgia, we first need to make sure we have the funds to pull this off. Will you chip in $3 or anything you can to help Women’s March and New Georgia Project hit our $100,000 goal to fund grassroots voter outreach in Georgia?
Let’s do this,
