Illinois’ credit rating is dropping at an alarming rate. Run by liberal Governor Pritzker and his liberal legislative majority, the state’s finances are in grim condition. This year, Illinois’ credit rating has gone from “stable” to “negative,” and could likely drop to “junk.”

Illinois’ credit rating is dropping at an alarming rate. Run by liberal Governor Pritzker and his liberal legislative majority, the state’s finances are in grim condition. This year, Illinois’ credit rating has gone from “stable” to “negative,” and could likely drop to “junk.” No other state has the misfortune of such an abysmal rating. Americans are expected to take ownership of their personal finances, balance a budget, and maintain a good credit rating to rent, buy a car, etc. States should be held to the same, or higher, standard because they use taxpayers’ money, not their own. Earning a poor credit rating means Illinois liberals have been terrible stewards of your tax dollars.

Illinois has consistently been the lowest-ranked state. Instead of decreasing spending and balancing their budget, liberal Governor Pritzker and his far-Left majorities in the state legislature think the best way to fix their credit, their budget, and their shortcomings is to raise taxes on residents. Illinoisans were threatened by a forced 20 percent increase in income taxes if they didn’t vote to raise their own taxes. Illinois liberals have failed to manage the state’s money well, and want to take more money from citizens to make up for their mistakes.

Sincerely,
