This is outrageous, John:

Yesterday, several news agencies, including The Guardian, NBC, and the
Daily News reported that Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina
pressured Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (a Republican) to
throw out legitimate ballots.

Specifically, Graham asked Raffensperger if he had the power to toss out
every mail-in ballot from counties where there was a higher rate of
non-matching signatures.

Thankfully, Raffensperger said no — and then told The Washington Post what
happened. And now, Graham has revealed he talked to Gov. Doug Ducey of
Arizona and an official in Nevada too.

This campaign to rig the election after the fact is not limited to Lindsey
Graham, or votes cast in the state of Georgia. From Donald Trump on down,
Republicans are using every tool at their disposal to stop legitimate
votes from being counted and throw the election to Donald Trump.

So far, it hasn't worked. But that doesn't mean we can afford to let this
authoritarian behavior go unchecked.

Look, John, this is serious and
quite likely criminal.

Joe Biden won this election in an electoral and popular vote landslide.
Over 79 million Americans voted for him. That's more votes than any
president has received in our nation's history.

He will be our next president.

But by working to throw out legally-cast ballots and disenfranchise tens
of thousands of voters across the country, Republicans like Sen. Lindsey
Graham are attacking our fundamental democratic process and laying the
groundwork to outright steal future elections.

That’s why Congressman Hakeem Jeffries called on the Justice Department to
investigate immediately.

But let’s be real, Attorney General Bill Barr isn’t going to lift a hand
to hold anyone in the Trump administration accountable. That’s why it will
be up to us to demand the next Attorney General investigate and prosecute
those responsible to the fullest extent of the law.

It's clear Republicans are worried about winning fair and square when
everyone votes — so they're looking for every excuse to stop real votes
from being counted.

It’s un-American, undemocratic, and potentially illegal.

Donald Trump or any of his Republican cronies to try and rig elections and
tear down our democracy with impunity.
