Last Chance for Animals (LCA) is proud to introduce Mischa, winner of the 2020 Best In Shelter competition. Mischa represents the Senior Dog Sanctuary in Maryland, a rescue group committed to rescuing senior dogs. The Senior Dog Sanctuary will receive $35,000, but the best news is that Mischa found a new home!! Watch the heartwarming video of Mischa going to his new home here.

The Senior Dog Sanctuary isn't the only winner in this competition. Donut, representing the Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter placed second and won a $20,000 prize, and Mozart from the Small Miracles Cat and Dog Rescue placed third, winning a $10,000 prize. 

Best in Shelter is a nonprofit organization created to encourage pet adoption from local shelters and rescue organizations.  The competition celebrates shelter animals and all those who rescue them.
