Dear John,
The NRA's birthday is today—and they have absolutely nothing to celebrate.
This year, the NRA invested millions of dollars in President Trump's reelection—and lost. In fact, not only did the NRA lose its greatest ally in the White House, but in 2020 it was revealed that the NRA's membership revenue recently plummeted while its legal fees skyrocketed, and it was reported that its CEO Wayne LaPierre is being investigated for possible tax fraud.
But make no mistake, the NRA is still a threat to gun safety. We have the gun lobby on its heels, but we can't let up now. Help Everytown and Moms Demand Action gift the NRA even more defeats in 2021>>
For the past four years, the NRA has had a direct line to President Trump and his administration, making us all less safe. But with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, we have elected the NRA's worst nightmare to the White House—the strongest gun safety ticket in history. Because of our hard work this year, we now have the opportunity to defeat the NRA's agenda, enact common-sense gun safety measures, and end gun violence in America.
So as we gear up for this next critical stage in our movement, I can think of no better way to mark the NRA's 149th birthday than by doubling down in our fight to defeat its dangerous agenda. Chip in today to fuel our fight.
