We have nearly reached a full year since the first coronavirus cases were reported – and it has wreaked havoc on the world ever since. Our country, thanks to failed Republican leadership, has spent nearly all of 2020 in complete disarray.
From a record number of unemployment claims to a staggering count of coronavirus-related deaths, Americans are in desperate need of help to get this pandemic under control. But the Senate, under Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s leadership seem to put the Republican Party’s own selfish priorities first, like voting to confirm judges that will uphold their far right agenda. We need senators to do their jobs and take care of everyday Americans now! No more voting to confirm Trump’s lifetime judicial nominees!
While Donald Trump is too preoccupied with playing golf and contesting the election results, relief bills like the HEROES Act have been sitting on Mitch McConnell’s desk for months collecting dust as Senate Republicans are prioritizing the confirmation of far right judges to the federal judiciary. While McConnell delays relief, thousands more have become infected or have died. This is not only unacceptable, but downright evil.
Our country’s leaders have abandoned their duties to put American lives first and we cannot let this continue. Together, we can use our voices to demand that our government helps Americans like you and me. I know we can count on you!
