Axios News: "President Trump has told friends he wants to start a digital media company."

Just think about the damage Fox News has done to our country over the last few decades. By twisting the facts beyond all recognition, the outlet has swept millions of Americans into an alt-right narrative and laid the groundwork for Trump's presidency well before he sought the Republican nomination.

But now (according to Trump) Fox News is far too liberal. Instead, this disgraced president wants to start his own media company. Can you imagine the lies we'll have to deal with then?

Hopefully millions of people will know to tune out Donald Trump, and maybe he'll even expose himself as the poorly informed and incompetent leader he's always been once his media company gets going. It could collapse, which would be satisfying to watch.

Or it could do really, really well. Over 70 million Americans voted for Trump this election -- the second-highest amount of votes ever cast for a presidential candidate. If they're all paying Trump $5.99 a month for the privilege of watching his channel, Trump will only grow richer and more powerful. Then, maybe he'll mobilize his fans against Joe Biden or use his new media empire to retake the presidency in 2024.

After all, this is a man who hates to lose.

We want to get ahead of whatever "alternative facts" narrative Trump plans on spreading with this media company. But right now, we don't have the funds we need to wage a messaging war against Donald Trump -- after all, he's proven he's not above defrauding his investors to make a quick buck. Meanwhile, we rely on grassroots donations, which have slowed to a trickle ever since the election was called.

We're writing to you because we know you're the type of person who shakes their head every time they see Fox News is on in a waiting room. Just imagine if it were Trump's voice instead -- blaring incessantly for the next four years, doing everything he can to criticize progressives while laying the groundwork for his next campaign.

The nightmare of Trump as president has ended. But the nightmare of Trump as Sean Hannity (and then possibly running again in 2024) may just be beginning.
