$100,000 raised, 640 lives changed, and one mission accomplished.
COVID-19 has drastically impacted each and every one of our lives, especially the lives of domestic violence survivors who have faced an alarming spike in abuse since the onset of this pandemic. While many of us have attempted to stay safe by sheltering in place as often as possible, domestic violence survivors have been and continue to be trapped with their abusers, suffering alone in silence.
For over twelve years you have joined us in providing vital support and resources through our annual Domestic Violence Fundraising Dinner, where together, each year, we gathered for one evening to listen to the moving stories of survivors, honor courageous leaders and witness the remarkable power of community.
This year, despite the conditions that have kept us apart and unable to host our annual dinner, you adapted to the current circumstances, heard our urgent call to support survivors and rose to the occasion by our side, helping us raise more critical funding for resources than ever before.
Because of your continued support, we are now able to fulfill our commitment to over 640 domestic violence survivors and their families. The funds raised will directly aid survivors and their families in accessing the following resources and services:
- Food, baby formula, diapers and other basic needs
- Clothing, furniture and bedding
- Safe and stable housing
- Educational resources and supplies
- Employment resources and opportunities
- Legal support
- Medical care
- Therapy, counseling and psychological support
Amid these difficult and challenging times felt by so many in our community, our nation and our world, you stepped up and helped us empower and transform the lives of hundreds of survivors who had nowhere else to turn. You stepped up and showed them that they could turn to you.
We are so grateful to be able to do this critical work and help survivors take charge of their lives and cultivate a hopeful and promising future to look forward to. Thank you for everything that you do to help make our work possible.
