This time of year, when families start planning to gather for their holiday celebrations, my heart breaks — and I know yours does too — when I think about the millions of children who wake up hungry every morning. Despite their parents’ hard work, they still cannot afford food and basic necessities for their family.
And with the COVID-19 pandemic causing a widespread famine that has nearly DOUBLED the number of people living in poverty, we need to ensure that the hardworking families in all of the 21 countries where we work do not slip back into hunger and poverty despite the new reality they are facing.
Helping farmers deliver Food Baskets is one of the best ways to help feed hungry children and ensure that parents are able to continue to provide for their families in the weeks and months ahead.
