On top of the devastating economic effects of COVID-19, leaving families
struggling to pay their bills — people are still expected to make student
loans payments.

Student debt has gone up by more than 300% since 2003 — yet Congress has
made little to no movement to help alleviate this gigantic burden on
students. It’s why in his first term, Ro co-sponsored Bernie Sanders’ bill
to make public four-year colleges and universities affordable for all —
but we have to keep fighting. 

College should be an available opportunity for anyone, regardless of
income — and together we can make that a reality. It’s going to require a
wave of support for our movement.
