POLITICO: “Trump’s refusal to concede the election means that officials [from top federal health agencies] cannot legally speak with Biden’s advisers about the progress of vaccine development, plans for distributing an eventual shot, or testing capacity -- even as coronavirus cases soar to record highs every day.”

One-term president Donald Trump is doing everything he can to obstruct and delay the transition of power to Joe Biden and his team in the White House -- endangering countless American lives.

While Trump’s bitter ramblings might appear inconsequential, POLITICO further reports that “the delay means that Biden’s transition team must plan for a crisis response without access to essential nonpublic information about the nation’s supply chains for protective equipment and testing supplies.”

Trump’s break from democratic tradition is not only pitiful, it’s dangerous. We’ve always known that Trump doesn’t care about protecting American lives, but now he’s deliberately preventing anyone else from doing so.

Friend, we don’t have time to waste. Every day that passes without a peaceful transition will undoubtedly raise the coronavirus death toll -- but we don’t have the funds we need to act in this critical moment, and we need your help.

 

Trump has done enough damage to our country. He continues to claim he won’t leave the White House, but it’s not up to him -- it’s up to us. We voted him out, and we’ll finish the job.
