[[link removed]]Dear WJC Friend,
The World Jewish Congress Jewish Diplomatic Corps (JDCorps) is the
organization's flagship program. The JDCorps strengthens and empowers the next
generation of passionate Jewish leaders by offering them outstanding
opportunities, unique experiences, and networking outlets that will allow them
to support their local communities and impact global Jewish interests through
diplomacy and public policy.
The JDCorps cordially invites you to an exclusive limited-time film screening of Shared Legacies: The African-American Jewish Civil Right Alliance. And then, on Wednesday, November 18 at 12:00 pm (EST), please join us for a panel
discussion of the African-American Jewish Civil Rights Alliance featuring Dr.
Susannah Heschel, Dr. Cornell William Brooks and Rabbi Jonah Dov Pesner. The event will be moderated by Randell Fried, a member of the WJC’s Jewish
Diplomatic Corps.
Shared Legacies: The African-American Jewish Civil Right Alliance is a powerful and inspiring story of unity, empathy, and partnership that
validates how freedom and equality for all can only be achieved when people come
together. The film, directed by Dr. Shari L. Rogers, delves into the history of
the relationship between the Jewish and Black communities during the Civil
Rights Movement in the United States.
Please see the links below to view the film and to join us for this very special
program.
We look forward to your participation.
