The United States Postal Service has never been more vital to each and every one of us as we try to keep ourselves, our families, and our communities safe and healthy during yet another surge of the coronavirus pandemic. And yet, even despite all the attention that USPS has received in recent months it remains at risk of collapse and privatization.
This cherished American institution has long needed more funding to operate safely and effectively during the pandemic, but in order to ensure that the Postal Service can continue to function, experts have calculated that the organization will require at least $25 billion dollars in funding.

We need you to call today to tell Congress that they need to save the post office now. It cannot wait any longer.
After causing national outrage over service reductions, Trump-appointed Postmaster General Louis DeJoy said that he’d pause them until after the election. Now that the election is over, we still have no idea whether DeJoy intends to continue hampering the Postal Service’s operations.
That’s why it’s so vital for Congress to pass legislation with adequate funding allocated specifically for the Postal Service’s day-to-day operations during the pandemic. With McConnell and the Republicans’ shameful delay on moving the coronavirus aid that America is desperate to receive, it’s up to each of us to let them know what our priorities are; and being able to receive vital mail and packages, from prescriptions to paychecks, during this public health crisis is a priority that we all share.
