This week marks the beginning of committee meetings for the upcoming 2020 legislative session in Tallahassee.

From enacting common sense gun safety laws to protecting voting rights and affordable healthcare, there are so many issues for our legislators to be focused on—issues that will save lives and reinforce our commitment to democracy in our great state.

The people we elect to represent us in Tallahassee will be on the frontline of decision-making that will have real consequences on all of our lives. That's why electing Andrew is so critical.

The other side is going to pour hundreds of thousands of dollars trying to mislead the voters of the 59th district. All we have to do is look at the accomplishments of the last 20+ years of Republican domination in our state government to know that is not the case: extreme gerrymandering that rigs our elections, failing to expand Medicaid and make healthcare more affordable, and some of the lowest teacher pay in the nation to name a few.

I'm sick of talking about the ways we have been failed by Republicans in the past. Our vision is that Democrats will take back the Florida House of Representatives in 2020 and immediately start working to improve the lives of all Floridians.

I know that you feel the same way, and our first month of fundraising in August showed that we have momentum. But we are on track to come up short of our goal in September. We need our supporters to say that are all-in to help make our vision of the future a reality for our state.
