The people of Tibet continue to face many challenges, and every single dollar of
this match is needed. As the Chinese government plots to fraudulently select the next Dalai Lama, ICT
is pressing for complete passage of the Tibetan Policy and Support Act
(TPSA)—currently with the Senate—so the United States government reinforces its
strong stand with the Tibetan people—and against oppression.

In addition to supporting advocacy for the TPSA, your matched gift will also
help ensure the recently appointed Special Coordinator for Tibetan Issues— and a
future one with the next US Administration—is committed to promoting dialogue
between envoys of the Dalai Lama and Chinese leadership. And you’ll make sure
our newly elected US lawmakers are brought up to speed on the ongoing human
rights crisis in Tibet and help keep Tibetan issues a top priority on both sides
of the aisle in Congress.
