Did you catch this rough headline for Henry Cuellar?

“Times are beginning to change here in Texas” — like this article says, we couldn’t agree more.

Unfortunately, Henry Cuellar is refusing to change and it’s hurting families across Texas. It’s hard to believe, but Cuellar is still opposed to a ban on assault weapons like those used to carry out the devastating shootings in El Paso and Odessa/Midland.

We are sick and tired of waiting for Cuellar to stand up to the NRA and take action on guns. The people we talk to in South Texas are demanding gun reform now. Can we count on you to give $3 or more to unseat Cuellar and kick his outdated views into the dustbin of history? Give $3 »

This New York Times article interviewed one of our supporters, Eddie, who said the shooting in El Paso “felt like an attack on what we are, on [our] people.” When Cuellar votes against legislation to protect us from gun violence, it’s people like Eddie, our neighbors, and our friends who feel the fear and anxiety of a shooting happening in their own neighborhood.
