[[link removed]]Defender,
After a dark chapter in the history of America’s wildlife, animal lovers like
you and me have a reason to hope a better future is coming.
In a matter of weeks, Joe Biden will take the presidential oath of office – and
there’s never been a more critical moment for wildlife. That’s why we’re working
quickly to ensure his administration hears the call to usher in a desperately
needed era of restoration and progress for wildlife and the habitats they depend
on.
Just last week, Defenders submitted a detailed plan for our nation’s wildlife to the Biden
transition team
[[link removed]] . The plan lays out how to heal the damage done in recent years and make
urgently needed forward progress in protecting the nation’s natural legacy. Defenders has identified the following critical goals to protect America’s
wildlife, wild places and communities: * Defend America’s Endangered Species and Other Imperiled Wildlife.
* Stop Biodiversity Loss
* Address the Threat of Climate Change
* End the Sale of America’s Public Lands for Profit
President Biden’s wildlife restoration efforts must begin on his first day in
office, and we need you to be part of a re-energized movement to protect the
wildlife you love. Let us know what you think our nation’s wildlife priorities
should be! Please take our brief survey and let us know your thoughts!
[[link removed]] Defender, even as we promote these wildlife priorities
to the incoming administration, we’re pulling out all the stops to prevent
damaging actions by the outgoing administration, and we’ll go to court as
necessary to stop those last-minute acts of harm or destruction. And no matter who leads our nation’s government, Defenders won’t ever give up. We will be relentless in our fight to conserve our natural world. We will
double down and work tirelessly to protect our nation’s precious wildlife and
wild places. We’re still standing up against the threats to the wildlife we
love. The pressure from Big Oil, Big Timber and other private interests
continues.
Thank you for keeping the faith and standing strong for America’s wildlife and
wild places.
Best,
Jamie Rappaport Clark
President, Defenders of Wildlife
P.S.: Don’t forget to share your opinions on our wildlife priorities by taking our
brief survey!
