Helping children when and where they need it most

None of us likes to see a child of ours struggling, and it can be tempting to step in and solve kids’ problems for them. But giving kids space to make their own choices (and mistakes!) is a big part of helping them grow into capable, confident adults. By teaching strategies for making good decisions now, you’ll help ensure that your kids are ready when it’s time to fly solo.

This week on childmind.org ([link removed]) our experts offer tips for building kids’ decision-making skills ([link removed]). We’ve also got advice on helping children and young adults set appropriate boundaries ([link removed]) and stick up for themselves in challenging situations, from dealing with cyberbullying ([link removed]) to opening up about learning disabilities ([link removed]).
