The Business Growth unit within Economic Development at Nottingham City Council is seeking to recruit an experienced, target driven, team player to an Account Manager position on a Fixed Term basis to March 2022.
?
This role is full-time and will play a pivotal role in supporting Nottingham City based Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the Life Sciences and Food & Drink Sectors by identifying SMEs in these and other sectors who are already experiencing growth or who have growth potential.
?
The post-holder will be required to proactively work with these businesses to ensure that they are accessing all available support in overcoming barriers to growth and in reaching their full growth potential. Priority area of work will be given to Life Sciences. The post-holder must also be prepared to support SMEs in other sectors as directed by the Nottingham Growth Team Manager. This role will be critical in supporting Nottingham?s Growth Plan and helping businesses to invest in the city and its people.?

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Proven track record in building credible relationships with local business, with demonstrable understanding of operating within a commercial environment.
  • Extensive experience of working with or in a highly commercial setting on issues relating to growth of the company
  • High level analytical skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment in seeking creative business focused solutions to complex problems.

  • Experience in food preparation including vegetables and sauces
