WILL President and General Counsel, Rick Esenberg, appeared on Capital City Sunday on WKOW to discuss election outcomes and concerns about voter fraud. Rick said, "I do think, and I have counseled many of my Republican friends, that it is important to stick to the facts in a situation like this and to not make claims that are unsubstantiated. And when there are allegations of potential wrongdoing, to carefully vet them."

The Cap Times reports on WILL's new study that examines the decisions of more than 400 Wisconsin school districts to determine which factors were predictive of how schools made their reopening decisions to start the school year. The study found that the presence of a teachers union and the politics of a particular region, not necessarily the local presence of the COVID-19 virus, appears to have driven district-level decisions on whether to reopen with in-person learning or virtual learning.

WILL President and General Counsel, Rick Esenberg, participated in oral arguments Monday in Fabick v. Evers, a legal and constitutional challenge to Governor Evers' multiple COVID-19 emergency orders. Rick was given ten minutes to brief the Court on whether the Legislature’s grant of authority, in response to Governor Evers’ emergency declarations, constitutes an unconstitutional delegation of its core power to legislate.
