Hi John,

As our supporter, you’re probably well aware of a lot of our most exciting work—from passing ballot initiatives and gun safety laws in Olympia to electing gun responsibility candidates at every level of government. But today, we wanted to take some time to highlight the Alliance for Gun Responsibility Foundation, which is responsible for many of our important, but lesser known, efforts.

We learned early on that passing stronger gun laws is just one piece of the puzzle when it comes to reducing gun violence. And thus, the Foundation—the 501(c)(3) tax-deductible arm of the Alliance—was born! It is home to our public education, research, youth engagement, and implementation work.

Through the Foundation, we work with lawmakers, law enforcement officials, and other stakeholders to make sure that the laws we pass are implemented effectively and actually working as intended. We also work to raise awareness about the gun violence epidemic and its solutions by participating in community events and convening summits where experts can dive deep on the intersection of gun violence and other pressing issues, from domestic violence to hate crimes.

This is the kind of culture and systems change work that happens outside of any individual election or politician’s will. And it is the kind of work that makes a real dent in the gun violence crisis. Please, help us continue this critical work in the new year with a tax-deductible gift today.

Glad to have you on our team,
Renée (she/her)
