Dear John--
On Friday, Postmaster General DeJoy confirmed that he intends to bring back his slowdown policies across the country.
The Postal Service is suffering a deep financial crisis, caused by the Coronavirus pandemic: more cuts and delays is the opposite of what the USPS needs right now! That’s why we are taking action across the country tomorrow.
Will you take part? It looks like there’s an event near you. Here is the information.
Defend the Post Office
Start: Tuesday, November 17, 2020 11:00 AM
Curseen Morris Processing and Distribution Center
900 Brentwood Rd. N.E.
Washington, DC 20066
We need everyone to get involved. Participate in a local event and be sure to call your Senators at (844) 402-1001.
We’ve defended our democratic rights, now we must defend the post office. As we celebrate Postal Workers, we also renew our demand - to save the Post Office. It's time to:
- Provide at least $25 billion in immediate COVID relief for the Postal Service
- Stop & reverse the mail slowdown policies introduced by Postmaster General DeJoy
- Expand the role of the Post Office to provide vital services in every community.
Join us in standing up for our public Postal Service tomorrow (Tuesday, Nov 17) and make a call at (844) 402-1001.
