This week, Republican Senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue sent out a letter to the Republican Secretary of State in Georgia demanding that he resign.
They want to invalidate the results of the election, where Joe Biden has the lead in Georgia and Perdue is going to a runoff against Jon Ossoff in January.
They are sowing division and stoking conspiracy theories, and attacking the integrity of Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger — a Republican — all because the election didn’t go their way.
We can’t let them continue to undermine our democracy. Georgia has the opportunity to replace these two cronies with partners who will work with Joe Biden so we can get things done for our state, and the country. But they can’t do it without you. Georgia doesn’t deserve two Senators who will deny reality and try to change the results of an election, simply because they do not like the results.
Loeffler and Perdue are enabling Trump’s dangerous behavior and engaging in the same dangerous behavior themselves.
This is a dangerous precedent that could imperil our democracy, and it’s why we need to send a big message and ensure that Loeffler and Perdue are both defeated in January.
