As Americans, we all deserve the right to have clean air and water. Tragically, communities of color, indigenous communities, and low-income communities have suffered from dangerous pollution. Flint, Michigan, is just one of the better-known examples. The Trump administration has decided to act against the best interests of our communities and every single American by putting forward a budget that cuts critical programs, such as the EPA’s environmental justice and enforcement program. Since Donald Trump became president, regulations for polluters have been gutted, further exposing us to dangerous toxins in the environment. This is bigger than partisan politics.
