John,
Millions of people throughout our country are slipping into poverty because the U.S. Senate has failed to pass the pandemic relief legislation sent to them by the House of Representatives six months ago.
Did you see the email from Deborah below about the desperate situation facing millions of struggling families across our country? Read her email and then join us at noon ET today for a special CHN webinar, titled "Our Children are in Danger," which focuses on increased hunger, poverty, and other serious threats to children and families because of the pandemic.
Thank you for all you do to fight for the needs of the vulnerable, the sick and the poor.

--DEBORAH'S EMAIL--
John,
We live in the richest country in the history of the world, yet millions of our fellow Americans are struggling to make ends meet—and are falling into poverty. Far too many of them are children—threatening their futures, and ours.
Mitch McConnell, Senate leadership and the Trump administration has made this tragic situation even worse by failing, time and again, to act on the comprehensive pandemic relief passed by the U.S. House of Representatives back in mid-May, and again in early October. As a direct result of their abdication of leadership, millions of children and families throughout every state in our country, have needlessly suffered.
Join CHN, First Focus Campaign for Children, and RESULTS this Monday, November 16th at 12 p.m. ET for a special webinar, titled "Our Children are in Danger," which focuses on increased hunger, poverty, and other serious threats to children and families because of the pandemic.
Physicians, parents, and researchers all have vital information about the dangers children are facing right now. You’ll hear from them during the webinar.
Even if you can’t attend, sign up to receive a captioned recording, slides, and follow-up resources.
This recent New York Times headline should get everyone’s attention:
The article states:1
"After an ambitious expansion of the safety net in the spring saved millions of people from poverty, the aid is now largely exhausted and poverty has returned to levels higher than before the coronavirus crisis, two new studies have found."
Together, with our coalition of national partners, CHN is demanding the Senate finally act on a comprehensive COVID-relief package that provides direct cash aid to families in need, a renewal of enhanced unemployment benefits, food assistance, an extended evictions moratorium and more.
Together, during the lame-duck session of Congress, we are continuing to demand that the millions of Americans who are falling through the cracks and into poverty get the immediate pandemic relief they desperately need.
Let’s stay engaged and informed on how we can fight for the needs of the most vulnerable people throughout our country. Join CHN, First Focus Campaign for Children, and RESULTS this Monday, November 16th at 12 p.m. ET for a special webinar, titled "Our Children are in Danger," which focuses on increased hunger, poverty, and other serious threats to children and families because of the pandemic.

These are difficult times. Thank you for all you do to demand accountability from our political leaders and to fight for the needs of the vulnerable, the sick and the poor.
