Green Party mailing
Dear John
With your amazing help on the 24th of October, the West Central London
Green Party managed to deliver over 13,000 leaflets across three separate
boroughs!
This was an incredible feat and showed just how much we can achieve
together as a local party to elect Sian Berry as our London mayor. I'm
emailing now with two important dates for your diary!
FRI 27TH NOVEMBER - Fundraising Quiz for Sian Berry's May 2021 campaign [1]
7.30 - 9.30pm Join our quiz to put your trivia to the test and get to know
our London mayor candidate, SIAN BERRY, as well as OUR LONDON CANDIDATES!
We'll put you into random teams with your fellow attendees to tackle the 5
rounds we have sorted on a range of topics! It will be hosted on Zoom and
is a great way to meet fellow London Green Party members.
SAT 28TH NOVEMBER - West Central London Leafleting Day [2]
We are asking all West Central London members to join us [2] again on the
28th of November 2020 to continue this incredible effort to elect Siân
Berry as London Mayor.
We are confident that we can get more Green Party representatives into the
London Assembly than ever before, including myself as number 3 on the list!
Although the election might seem far away, there are only 9 more leafleting
events left leading up to next March.
Getting out of the house (now more than ever) to raise awareness is a
fantastic way to get some fresh air and get in your weekly walk.
We would love for you to join us and help leaflet these areas. We know that
leafleting is effective, and that it works best when repeated frequently in
targeted areas. Will you help us? If so, please CLICK HERE [2] to register
your interest.
Don't worry if this is your first time leafleting! We will provide you with
all the support you need, including pairing you up with a friendly 'buddy'
with previous experience, and explaining everything you will need to know
beforehand. You are more than welcome to bring along your own buddy, as
long as they are either within your bubble or abide by social distancing
guidelines.
We have prepared the attached health and safety guidance which details the
precautions we are taking in line with Public Health England's guidance.
Following lockdown guidelines, we will be ensuring that volunteers leaflet
only in their local areas so that they do not need to take public
transport.
It also contains details of a Zoom briefing at 11am on Sunday the 22nd of
November when we will go over Public Health England's advice to the Green
Party. It will be an opportunity to ask us any questions you may have about
leafleting or our local campaign.
If you would like to help us with this Leafleting Day, or any future Action
Days, but still have worries regarding Covid-19, please do not hesitate to
reply to this email and we can discuss this in more detail.
There will be regular campaigning up to Election Day to give us the best
possible chance of success, so even if you are unable to join us on
November the 28th, please do consider attending one of our future
campaigning events. Your support really will make a difference!
We look forward to seeing you on the 28TH OF NOVEMBER [2]!
With best wishes,
Zack Polanski
Assembly Candidate
West Central London Green Party
P.S. Just a reminder about our event next THU 26TH NOVEMBER about London's
Housing Crisis [3] - there's still a few places left. A great chance to
hear from three speakers, with time for Q&A - documentary maker EMILE
BURGOYNE, Director of Services at Aspire, ALEX RANKIN and Community
Organiser for a national housing charity and Green Party activist, TYRONE
SCOTT.
