It's time to rein in Big Tech, friend.
Major tech corporations like Facebook and Amazon have dodged regulation and accountability for far too long — and we know that their self-regulation doesn’t work. There is overwhelming evidence that technology corporations have adopted a disturbing copy, acquire, kill strategy. This anti-competitive and monopolistic behavior squanders innovation, hurts small businesses, and comes at the direct expense of consumers.
Not to mention, Facebook and Google are hurting our democracy right now in the critical Senate runoffs that are taking place in Georgia. Their nonsensical political ad bans are putting the thumb on the scale for the millionaire Republicans who can self-fund their campaigns. This leaves the Democratic grassroots candidates with few ways to fundraise thanks to these Big Tech companies’ hold on the digital ad market.
Big Tech won’t regulate itself. If we’re going to protect small businesses, workers, consumers, and our democracy, we need to finally take bold steps to hold these corporations accountable. Will you join Pramila’s fight? Add your name if you agree: It’s time to rein in Big Tech!
Regulating Big Tech is a signature issue for Pramila. She helped conduct the first major Congressional antitrust investigation in decades, which found that self-regulation by Big Tech comes at the expense of small businesses, consumers, and the free press. Then, she got to work on a roadmap for the work ahead: reining in anti-competitive behavior, preventing monopolistic practices, and allowing innovation to thrive again.
But no one person can go up against Big Tech alone. We need to show Pramila that our progressive movement is behind her, and that we’re ready to finally hold these corporations accountable. Sign the petition if you agree that we must rein in Big Tech:
