POLITICO: "Dr. Scott Atlas, one of President Donald Trump's chief coronavirus advisers, publicly attacked Dr. Anthony Fauci on Tuesday -- accusing the nation's top infectious disease expert of being a "'political animal' who adjusted his dire assessments of the pandemic after Election Day."

You know this couldn't be farther from the truth. Trump and his cronies have been baselessly attacking Dr. Fauci for too long. He's done nothing but try to protect Americans within an administration determined to undermine him and his work at every turn. And yet again, he's being criticized for leading according to science and keeping the American people apprised of the ever-changing situation.

Listen -- the longer we let Trump and the GOP get away with their smear campaign, the more people we will see get sick and die on American soil. We need Dr. Fauci's expertise and guidance more than ever, and during this perilous time between now and Inauguration Day, we MUST make it clear that we fully support him -- especially now that Trump has threatened to fire Dr. Fauci in his lame-duck period. The stakes couldn't be higher.
