While Trump whines about election fraud in front of Four Seasons Total Landscaping, Rep. Ted Lieu had the perfect response to this one-term president’s childish behavior:

 

The AAPI vote is the fastest-growing segment of eligible voters out of the major racial and ethnic groups in the United States, according to an analysis by the Pew Research Center. That’s 11 million Americans -- or 5% of all eligible voters.

It’s incredible that the record AAPI turnout literally delivered the win for Biden. Trump’s and the GOP’s blatant anti-Asian racism certainly motivated people to get out to the polls -- from calling our new vice president a “monster” to screaming about “the China virus” and blaming Asians for America’s 240,000+ deaths. But, according to the executive director of APIAVote, their election season survey showed that “more than half of [AAPI] voters [were] reporting little or no contact from either major party” during campaign season.

That’s just unacceptable. Who knows how many more victories we could have had nationwide if the majority of Democrats went out to our communities, listened to their needs, and encouraged them to go to the polls.

As Republicans pick up the pieces, we have no doubt that they themselves will look into courting our country’s fastest-growing racial group next election. We can’t let them win.
