Friend — The election is over. Joe Biden will be sworn in on January 20, 2021. The only question is: How much damage will President Trump do to our democracy before then?
By spreading lies for months in order to cast doubt on the election and now refusing to accept the clear result the president has threatened the very heart of our democracy.
It's time for him to concede this election and listen to the will of the people.
If you agree,
add your name and then spread the word.
The stakes in this election could not have been higher or more clear. The future of our communities, our country, and our planet was on the ballot. And when it mattered most, voters stepped up.
Together, we demanded change. We spoke loud and clear for climate action and environmental justice. All across the country, we cast ballots in record numbers, overcoming the various barriers to try to suppress voting. And together, we demanded that every vote is counted.
Those voices
matter. Those ballots count. And no president, no political party, nobody has the right or the authority to ignore the clear outcome of this election.
The peaceful, orderly transfer of power is the foundation of our government, yet the Trump administration is actively blocking the incoming Biden administration from beginning this critical process. Every day President Trump refuses to concede the election is an insult to voters and a stain on our democracy.
Tell President Trump to do his duty and concede the election.
We applaud the efforts of poll workers and local officials who are working so hard to count every vote. It's important that each and every vote be counted accurately.
But the outcome of the presidential race is not in doubt.
President Trump must face facts, concede the election, and cooperate with the transition to a new administration.
Thanks for taking a stand — for the environment, and for our democracy.
Sincerely,
