These past few months, volunteers like you have been having long one-on-one conversations with voters all over the country. These conversations were about finding common ground and connecting with people about what they care about most, their families and their communities. These conversations were key to persuading swing voters and they are key to finding common ground on important issues like Medicare for All.
Join us in one week, on Saturday, November 21 at 10am PT/ 1pm ET for a workshop with your fellow volunteers and special guest, Stephanie Kang, an expert on Medicare for All.
RSVP here to attend Finding Common Ground: Having Conversations about Medicare for All.
We’ll hear from volunteers who were trained in “deep canvassing" for the 2020 election. They will share their experiences navigating a conversation with someone who disagrees with them politically and how they found common ground. Stephanie Kang is a health policy advisor to Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal and is completing her doctorate at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She will bring her wealth of knowledge about the Medicare for All bill and experience training candidates on this issue to our discussion about how we can navigate these conversations in our communities.
You're putting this event on especially for the committed volunteers of Team Jayapal, but consider forwarding this email to a friend or two who you think would like to be a part of building this movement for progressive change!
Thank you for all that you do to build our movement.
In Solidarity,
