Friend,

While the defeat of President Trump is a victory for our movement, and we
can take a moment to rejoice, we know we cannot rest for long. The
California League of Conservation Voters is already learning from last
week’s election, and poised to pivot our electoral wins to secure bold and
sweeping climate action policy.

We’re hoping we can count on you to join us in the next phase of our
work—ensuring our newly elected leaders prioritize solutions to advance
climate justice now.

In California and nation-wide, this election showed us that a true
community-based and regional power-building movement is possible. Change
happens from the bottom up. We’ve seen how Georgia and Arizona's
grassroots base-building made the difference in this cycle. And our
regional organizing and partnerships with our Local Leagues in California
helped us defeat Big Oil candidates up and down the ballot across
California in 2020. But the work doesn’t stop here!

[ [link removed] ]We need your financial support to build California’s infrastructure to
hold our leaders accountable in every region. Help us turn these electoral
victories into lasting policy change by becoming a member, as we move past
this election into 2021.

Our vision? It’s not complicated: stop the climate crisis by building
resilient, connected, equitable communities and powering a democracy and
economy that is just and sustainable for all.

That starts with groundswell; with a person-to-person movement like we’ve
never seen before—including in areas of the Inland Empire, our Central
Valley, Orange County and high in the Sierras—to demand action regionally
and in Sacramento. California has earned its position as the environmental
policy innovator for our country and across the world. We must continue to
lead with innovative new policies that advance racial, social, and
economic justice. But we only can with your help.

CLCV’s 20-21 climate action donor drive.

It’s all hands on deck, and there’s a lot more coming. Thank you, in
advance, for your partnership.

We believe that radical change is necessary and only by transforming our political system will we create the opportunity to take bold action on climate change. We elect and cultivate environmental champions, turn election victories into policy wins, hold our lawmakers accountable, and build political power for change. We inspire hope and action and fight for equity and justice for all Californians. We are in the business of changing what’s possible.
