Team,

We all celebrated and breathed a collective sigh of relief last Saturday. I hope that you took a moment to enjoy the historic victory of President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris. Just seeing it is a great feeling.

Now, we must continue the work, especially with the U.S. Senate within reach.

*If you’re ready to make sure Mitch McConnell stops blocking help for all Americans, will you split a donation between both campaigns right now?* *

As you likely know, both Senate races in Georgia are going to runoff elections in January, and these races will determine whether or not we have Democratic control of both houses of Congress. There’s a lot the Biden-Harris team can do from the White House. But if we want to see the sweeping changes this country needs, we’re going to need to push progressive legislation through Congress — and we can’t do that if Mitch McConnell keeps his iron grip on the Senate.

We need to support Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock as they take on the Republican incumbents. Let’s give our Democratic leaders the political support they need to institute lasting change. Your donations will enable these campaigns to reach more Georgians, including 23,000 young voters turning 18 who will be newly eligible to vote, and provide important voting information for the runoffs.

*Our goal for the next few weeks is to raise $20,000 to support these campaigns in the crucial Georgia election on January 5th. If you can, please split a donation between the two races and help flip the Senate — every dollar helps!*

These aren’t just important races for the country — we have two incredible candidates on the ballot.

*Rev. Raphael Warnock* knows firsthand the challenges many Georgian families face today having grown up in public housing as one of twelve children. He went on to graduate from Morehouse College, a Historically Black College and University, earned a PhD, and served as the Chairman of the New Georgia Project for three years. As a pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, he’s used his pulpit to preach about environmental justice, drawing the lines between pollution, race, poverty, and corporate greed. As Senator, he will continue his fight for these issues.

*Jon Ossoff* served Georgians on Capitol Hill by working for civil rights leaders Rep. John Lewis and Rep. Hank Johnson. During that time, he helped root out corruption by federal contractors and ensured that resources actually went to the people who needed it in Georgia. He left Washington in order to become a journalist and start a media production company focused on exposing the corruption of public officials. Now, he’s running for Senate to fight for great health care for all Americans, to make Georgia a leader in clean energy, and to protect our air, water, and natural resources for future generations.

I know you are probably ready for this election season to be over, but these two Senate seats are absolutely critical to give the Biden-Harris administration the best chance possible to enact the change we need to build a better and more equitable country.

*If you can, please help elect these progressive candidates and flip the Senate.
