Dear John,

When Donald Trump took office, one of his first actions was to reverse
protections from the toxic pesticide chlorpyrifos. Demand the EPA ban one of the most toxic pesticides to bees.

Now, with the Biden/Harris administration coming into power, we have the chance
to reinstate this protection. This common-sense action would protect children,
bees, and rural communities from chlorpyrifos’s dangerous effects.

We need your help, John, to push the EPA to protect
Americans and bees from chlorpyrifos.

Demand the EPA stop the use of the toxic pesticide chlorpyrifos.

[[link removed]]Chlorpyrifos is one of the most toxic pesticides on the market. It damages
children’s developing brains, and the EPA says there’s no safe level of
exposure. But it’s sprayed on a wide variety of crops, including soybeans,
almonds, and grapes.

Chlorpyrifos is banned in the European Union, and several states -- including
California, New York, and Hawaii -- have already taken steps to ban it. And the
world’s largest manufacturer of the pesticide, Dow, has agreed to stop producing
the chemical by the end of the year.

Twice, EPA scientists have recommended that this toxic chemical be banned. Banning this pesticide would be an easy action for Biden’s administration to
take as soon as it’s in office -- proving to the American people that it will
stand up to the pesticide industry.

The fate of our future generations falls on the EPA. Will you send it a message
to demand it ban this toxic chemical?

Tell the EPA: Our future generations are more important than chemical industry
profits!

development of a child’s brain. It has been linked to reduced IQ, loss of
working memory, and autism.

Farmworkers and their families are regularly exposed to chlorpyrifos. This puts them at increased risk of pesticide poisoning and many neurological
issues from attention deficit disorders to Parkinson’s disease.

Additionally, chlorpyrifos threatens our food system by harming bees. Bees are
responsible for one in three bites of food that we eat -- but they’re dying at
alarming rates.

The evidence is clear: Chlorpyrifos only benefits the pesticide companies who
make it. And the risks of allowing its continued use are far too great. This
pesticide was restricted before Trump took office -- so now, we need your help
to undo the damage Trump did and reinstate protections from it.

30,000 signatures still needed: Demand the EPA ban chlorpyrifos as soon as Biden
is sworn in.
