Friend, last Saturday took me by surprise. And like millions across the country, I was ready to celebrate the power of immigrant youth and the power of the Black vote.
We celebrated because we voted Trump out, we did THAT! As soon as the news broke, we jumped into action, releasing our demands of a new Biden administration. There is still so much to do and we must continue pushing. Biden’s transition team has stated that they will issue several executive orders at the start of his administration - including the restoration of the DACA program.
Friend, hear me out. Protecting DACA is the floor, not the ceiling of what a Biden Administration must do. Let’s remember that Biden also made previous commitments to end the use of for-profit detention facilities, stop deportations in his first 100 days, expand deportation protections, and introduce legislation to provide a pathway to citizenship. Now, it's time we hold Biden accountable to ALL his commitments.
We need to keep up the pressure and hold the Biden Administration accountable for what our communities need. Join us and sign our petition below:

We’re glad to hear that the Biden Administration wants to fully reinstate DACA protections for recipients like me as soon as they step into the White House. These plans are the result of immigrant youth and our allies relentlessly pushing Biden during the primaries to make commitments that would protect and better the lives of 11 million undocumented immigrants.
But committing to restore DACA is just the start. After four years of chaos, trauma and destruction by Trump, Biden has a lot of work to get done, and we hope you’ll join us to keep demanding what our communities need and deserve. ADD YOUR NAME to demand action.
The election result is a clear example that when we work together, we are undeniable and unstoppable. Now, get your friends on board! 👉 Share this petition with your friends and family and get them to take action:
