Dear friend,

“Tihar ko subhakamana” or Happy Tihar! Today is the first day of Tihar, the “Festival of Lights,” a five-day long auspicious Hindu holiday. It is a celebration of interconnectedness, prosperity, and new beginnings.

This year is especially important. Last week we saw a momentous movement of democracy in action in this country. A new tide has turned and we are ready for the next phase.

Listen to member leaders and staff lay out our vision for worker's rights, immigrant rights, health care, and language justice in the coming year.

Today we celebrate and we will continue this celebration as we roll up our sleeves to build our collective intergenerational voice and fight for working-class Nepali-speaking communities.
