Problematic Women Podcast - Why Election 2020 Is a ‘Proud Lady Moment’ in History
“I think 2020 is the year of the woman, but for real this time. And I think the story has to go back to Justice Amy Coney Barrett as the first-ever female originalist now to sit on the Supreme Court. I think [Justice Barrett] paved the way for these strong, smart women who care about their country & their families to succeed. Following her are the 11 incumbent GOP House women that kept their seats & now 13 new women that were successful at the ballot box.”
One News Now - Voters reject left's extremism with conservative gains
While the presidential election results are being challenged in court, conservatives are celebrating other races. Jessica Anderson of Heritage Action for America, the politically active arm of The Heritage Foundation, says, “The most important thing that happened on Election Day is that the blue wave never materialized. "Many on the liberal left were talking about a complete takeover of the House, claiming even more Democratic Party seats, pushing back on the GOP majority in the Senate, and then obviously taking the White House," she continues. "But that tsunami from the left … just flat-out fizzled."
The Washington Times - Heritage mobilizing resources toward Georgia to lift incumbent GOP senators in run-off elections
Heritage Action executive director Jessica Anderson said her team’s activists are already on the ground in Georgia. “The Georgia Senate seats are the Firewall of Freedom to hold the line against [Sen.] Chuck Schumer’s liberal agenda to rig the Senate to pack the courts, implement a radical Green New Deal, allow our police to be defunded, increase taxes, and expand government,” Ms. Anderson said in a statement. “Georgians don’t want a Senate led by Chuck Schumer or his radical transformation for America; they want good jobs and safe cities to live and work in.”
Real Clear Politics - In Georgia Senate Runoffs, GOP Now Boosts Mail-In Voting
“Early voting and absentee ballots are going to happen. We can’t and shouldn’t stop people from doing it,” said Jessica Anderson, executive director of Heritage Action for America, the political arm of the conservative Heritage Foundation. “What we can do is talk to Republicans [in Georgia] about having a plan to vote.”
“The first wave of priority will be the [hundreds of thousands] of Georgia voters signed up to receive a mail-in ballot,” Anderson told RealClearPolitics. “We will be making the first rounds of door knocks for them and follow it up with text messages.”
Washington Times - Not just talk: How Congress can reduce health care premiums and improve access to care
If there’s one thing Americans agree on, it’s the need for change in our health care system. The pandemic has further exposed the need for reform to lower health care costs and make it easier to see the doctor of your choice.
Leaders on the left try to claim that only big-government solutions driven from Washington can achieve that goal. But their centerpiece law, the ironically named Affordable Care Act, has led to the opposite. According to Heritage Foundation research, costs went up and choices went down — while barriers went up between patients and the doctor of their choice.
