Friend,
As you know, we win our campaigns by building with our members in their powerfully organized communities. And we rely on individual donations from these communities in which we organize to allow ourselves the freedom to carry out our grassroots work.
Because of this, we are facing a $40,000 gap in our membership dues as more folks are struggling than ever before, unable to make their monthly commitments. Everyone pays what they can, anywhere from $1 to $15 a month, to sustain our city-wide neighborhood-based organizing.
Our members and our organizing have turned our rallying hashtags into legislation to be passed. Our work to cancel rent and mortgage payments, end evictions, fund excluded workers, and so much more, is made possible through our members’ mobilizing.
In solidarity,
Jonathan Westin
