BY MAKHFI AZIZI | Soon after President Trump fired Defense Secretary Mark Esper in a Tweet on Nov. 9, the President appointed Chris Miller as acting Defense Secretary and Retired Army Col. Douglas Macgregor as a senior advisor. Both are loyal to the President and supporters of withdrawing U.S. troops from Afghanistan—a move many officials have called reckless and dangerous.
