We're independent. We rely on you.

Naomi Klein, renowned climate activist and author, joined us today to talk about her new book, On Fire: The (Burning) Case for a Green New Deal.
|
|
|
Naomi Klein discussed the Green New Deal and how it's often misrepresented in the mainstream media.
"Fundamentally, it is a transformational approach to the climate crisis that is on the scale of the crisis itself," she said on Democracy Now!.
Naomi also talked about ecofascism—the marrying of environmentalism and white power—which she says manifested in the Christchurch, New Zealand, white supremacist terrorist attack, where the shooter identified himself as an ecofascist
And she warned of what she calls climate barbarism: "I use that term to describe governments, like the Trump administration, that are committed to climate change denial."
The only way to force action on climate change is for voices like Naomi's to be heard. Do your part to help us continue airing interviews like this one by signing up as a monthly donor right now.
It only takes a few seconds to set up your automatic monthly donation—and your continued support keeps our news hour going all year long. And of course, you can cancel at any time.
