John, will you add your name to my petition demanding Trump end his plan to ban racial sensitivity training in government offices? [[link removed]]

The first step in healing this nation means acknowledging our history of systemic racism and race-based harm against Black and Brown people.

Yet, Trump recently announced that racial sensitivity training is “racist” and an “[effort] to indoctrinate government employees with divisive and harmful sex and race-based ideologies."

Sensitivity training was put into place to create and sustain a safe, welcoming work environment for everyone — no matter their race or background.

That’s why Trump’s ban is dangerous. It’s a regressive step backward in the fight to heal our nation and a malicious attempt to glaze over the traumatizing history that works to uphold the status quo for generations.

In his final days in office, we cannot allow Trump to silence the voices of our most vulnerable communities. But, Trump won’t just listen to me. There’s power in numbers, and I need all of you standing with me to get this done. So I’m asking:

Will you add your name to my petition demanding Trump end his attack on racial sensitivity training and stop the ban today? [[link removed]]

Thanks for your support.

In solidarity,

Barbara Lee
