Mitch McConnell believes that divided government is the best time to “tackle entitlements.” That’s because Republicans want to be able to achieve long-held goals of destroying Social Security and Medicare, but they also want to be able to blame Democrats for it.
Mitch knows that Social Security is the most popular program in our country’s history. He also knows that his Wall Street paymasters would love to get their hands on Social Security’s $2.9 trillion trust fund. Talk among Wall Street’s favorite politicians and pundits turned to a “grand bargain” to cut Social Security and Medicare the moment Joe Biden won Arizona on Election Night. We can shut it down on January 5th.

Both Warnock and Ossoff ran successful races for U.S. Senate in Georgia. But because no one received 50% of the vote, Georgia election law dictates that both races are headed to a head-to-head runoff on January 5th.
Rev. Raphael Warnock is up against incumbent Republican Kelly Loeffler who was implicated in an insider trading scam where she likely used insider information at the outset of the pandemic to enrich herself while she lied to the American people that all was well.
Months later, as the pandemic continues to rage throughout our country, killing at least 1,500 people each day, it’s time for Georgia voters to hold Loeffler accountable for her lies and deceit.
Jon Ossoff ran neck-and-neck during the general election against incumbent Republican David Perdue who is also implicated in a COVID-related insider trading deal where he purchased stock in a company that makes Personal Protective Equipment on the very same day that he and others received a Senate briefing on the pandemic in early March.
If Democrats can win both of those races, then, instead of playing defense against Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans to defend Social Security, we’d be able to go on offense and expand Social Security benefits for millions of Americans.
