Hi John,
Well… WE DID IT!! The voters have spoken and elected Joe Biden as the next President of the United States by a decisive margin. So before we get to anything else, I just wanted to extend an enormously large CONGRATULATIONS to all of you. I just can’t tell you how honored we all are here to play a role in this victory, and removing Trump was a vital, tremendously important step in revitalizing our country.
Together, we all won a tremendous victory last week, one that will reverberate for years. But I don’t think anyone can look at the results down ballot and think that our work is done. We’re ready to take the next step. This victory gives us the opportunity to create a new society, one more just, more responsible, more equal… more progressive. But it’s just an opportunity. We will enjoy this victory, don’t get me wrong, but we know that you are ready to get to work, organizing in every community to seize this opportunity. Already, our partners are using our tools and getting to work in Georgia, where control of the Senate will be decided (support that work here!), and in every community across the country to push for the best policies at every level of government and change minds about what’s possible.
You’re ready for the next step, and we’re ready to help. We were there at the beginning of the Trump Administration when the organizers of the Women’s March wanted to transform their burgeoning number of Facebook events into a movement, and we were there at the end when the DNC wanted to supercharge their program for this election. We continue to create great technology that helps you build power.
We are focusing on extending our Action Network mobilization tools to be even more powerful, delivering emails and mobile messaging with the speed and reliability that is second to none and creating all new ways to target and send great messages across channels. We are building out new possibilities with Action Builder, our organizing tools, to reach deeper into communities to build the long term strength that will change the balance of power in our politics. And we are knitting it together to create a full spectrum of tools that allow you to meet your activists, supporters, and leaders wherever they are in their journey with you.
We’ll let you know more about all of those in the weeks ahead, but for now, I just wanted to again say thank you for all of your work. All of us here at Action Network and Action Builder are incredibly proud to have supported you throughout this time.
