Content Warning: this email discusses sexual assault.
Team,
Before I even got to Congress, I stood with thousands of others in Downtown Boston, as we spoke out against Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court.
That day, I told the crowd that survivors deserve justice and Brett Kavanaugh certainly doesn’t deserve a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court. Now, after further revelations about his disturbing history of sexual violence, I just introduced a resolution in the U.S. House to launch impeachment proceedings against Kavanaugh.
This weekend, The New York Times released new information regarding Kavanaugh’s acts of sexual violence while at Yale University. We saw through Kavanaugh’s lies during his Senate confirmation hearing last September, and we still see through his lies today.
We believe survivors, and we will continue to resist, mobilize, and legislate to fight for justice and end the culture of sexual violence.
That is why I am demanding the impeachment of Brett Kavanaugh now.
Thank you for standing with survivors today. We will keep fighting.
In Solidarity,
Ayanna Pressley
