But after the election, Facebook and other platforms disabled paid promotions from anyone political—and just yesterday expanded their ban a month longer than we expected.
While it’s great that Trump and his cronies won’t be able to spread misinformation and stir up trouble, that also means people-powered organizations and movements like ours can’t use this resource . And unlike them, we don’t have rich corporate backers and fossil fuel executives to lean on.

We were just getting ready for the major work we have to do as we kick off the decade of the Green New Deal. Only days ago, we announced our Climate Mandate [[link removed]] , the start of many months of organizing to convince Biden that his administration needs to be filled with people who will step up to the urgency of the climate crisis.
We don’t want to slow down in this critical moment. So much hinges on our ability to keep up the pressure and demand the new administration act on the needs of our generation.
