SpartanNash is giving discounts on deliveries and pickups through the end of 2020 to shoppers who use its Fast Lane e-commerce service. The company separately reported third-quarter net sales of $2.06 billion, up 3.1% from a year ago, and food distribution sales of $1.01 billion, up 7.8%.

Walmart has joined with General Motors subsidiary Cruise to test self-driving cars for grocery delivery. The pilot program will take place in Scottsdale, Ariz., in early 2021 and although the cars will drive themselves, a human operator will be in the vehicles at all times.
